The Dangers Journalists Face: Denby Fawcett
War journalism is a dangerous business... especially in Syria. According to The Committee to Protect Journalists, Syria is the most dangerous country in the world for journalists, with at least 70 killed while covering the conflict. Last week, that statistic grew to include James Foley. Reporting from war zones has always been full of peril, but has that danger changed? Former Vietnam war correspondent Denby Fawcett joined the show to take a look.

Many of us talk about homelessness but few of us live it. Diana Kim lives it. No she’s not homeless, but her mentally ill father lives on the streets and as she can, she helps. She chronicles her efforts and what she sees in the homeless communities and says there is much we don’t know or simply don't consider. Diana Kim joined the show to share her experiences and observations.

Born and raised in Pepe’ekeo and Hilo, she’s come a long, long way, and has has led the way for many “Designing Women.” She's the founder of Hawaii’s first graphic design company and she joined the show to talk about her experiences.
