Go Airlines Controversy: Peter Forman
In a week, Go Airlines will be gone. Citing higher fuel prices - the same reason Aloha stated when it stopped service in 2008 - Go ‘s coming closure has brought up a range of sentiments from good riddance to queries about how many inter-island carries Hawaii can support. Retired TWA pilot and Honolulu Community College Aviation Program Coordinator, Peter Forman has some thoughts and he joined the show this morning.

Infinity defies such notions: there is no number; it does not end. It’s a lot to ponder, and HPU Math professor Tara Davis will make the exercise into something pleasant, and fun, when she leads a talk called “To Infinity and Beyond,” next week at a Science Pub Hawaii event.

You probably remember that Sarajevo was the site the 1984 winter Olympics. Ten years later, the city became a combat zone as the former Yugoslavia disintegrated. Some of you history buffs would also remind us that in a few months, it will be exactly one hundred years since the assassination of the Austrian archduke on the streets of Sarajevo… an act that drew countries into the first World War. Sarajevo also the place where Honolulu real estate broker Margy Grosswendt became an accidental philanthropist. We sat down on Friday and I asked her how she came to pick Bosnia to start her exploration of the world.
