Byron Gangnes is professor and chair of the Economics Department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and is Seniorresearch fellow with UHERO. He is an expert on international economic policy, particularly the economic relationships between the US and Pacific Asian economies. For more than fifteen years, he has worked with UHERO to analyze and forecast developments in Hawaii’s economy.
