Dr Carlos Juarez is Chair of the Department of Social Sciences at Hawaii Pacific University. In 1998, he helped to establish the Masters degree in Diplomacy and Military Studies.  He teaches courses on comparative politics of developing nations, global governance, and peace and conflict studies, and many of his HPU students work in the intelligence community.

Jill Byus Radke is the the historian for theFriends of the Natatorium. She has researched the 10,000+ men and women honored by the war memorial and the volumes of information about every scenario presented for the site since 1963. She first became involved in the issue while serving as the Director of Development at Historic Hawai‘i Foundation. She was also the Director of Communication at Bishop Museum, Assoc. Director of Development at the USS Missouri Memorial and a Senior Acquisitions Editor for Simon and Schuster.
