This weekend Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone are at the Blue Note. He took time to speak with HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence.
Peter Noone has a fascinating journey, starting early with music through school, with an education that was geared for a life in show business, already starring in the UK soap opera Coronation Street when he was just 12. He’s got some wild stories, too, some connecting to Hawaii, where he’s played many times, including tours with acts like The Animals and The Who opening for him! Peter even met Elvis Presley here. He’s worked with David Bowie, played starring roles in Aladdin, Sinbad, Pirates of Penzance and many other stage productions, and even met the Queen along the way, we’ll hear.
