Hawaii Island Lava Bomb Update

The tour boat “Hot Spot,” one of two operated by Lava Ocean Tours along the coasts of Hawaii Island, was hit by a chunk of molten lava yesterday while on tour. Officials tell us there was no law enforcement vessel in the area at the time.

Lahaina Affordable Housing

A lawsuit filed by tenants of a Lahaina affordable housing project has become a bellwether case for the future of affordable housing in Hawaii. Victor Geminiani, an attorney with Lawyers for Equal Justice, is representing some of the plaintiffs in the case.
