As of Wednesday, Jan. 12, visitors will not be allowed at Kaiser Permanente’s Moanalua Medical Center except under certain situations.

Kaiser officials say the new rule is a result of the spread of the Omicron variant.

Circumstances under which visitors will be allowed at Kaiser’s Moanalua facility include the birth of a child, pediatric patients, patients traveling with a caregiver, and end-of-life situations.

Other Kaiser facilities are also limiting visitors to parents without childcare accommodations, and patients with Americans with Disabilities Act needs.
