Local TSA canine selected for 2022 TSA canine calendar

Xaira is a 3-year-old sable German shepherd who works as a TSA explosives detection canine at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. She will be featured in the October page of the 2022 TSA canine calendar.

Xaira is a 3-year-old sable German shepherd who works as a TSA explosives detection canine at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. She will be featured in the October page of the 2022 TSA canine calendar.

A hard-working local dog has been selected to be part of the 2022 Transportation Security Administration’s canine calendar.

Xaira is a 3-year-old sable German shepherd who works under the TSA National Explosives Detection Canine Program at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

Xaira is trained to detect explosive odor and alert her handler.

She also loves the outdoors and playing catch with her favorite glow ball toy. She enjoys hiking and playing in the water.

Not only is Xaira highly trained and intelligent, she is one of the agency’s 12 most photogenic dogs.
