County of Hawaiʻi Offering Discounted Rides to Vaccination Appointments

Rideshare apps such as Lyft and Uber have been offering free or discounted rides to get people to coronavirus vaccine clinics.

The County of Hawai’i Mass Transit Agency is partnering with Uber to provide free rides to and from vaccination appointments on the Big Island as part of the Hele-On Get Your Shot! campaign.

Participants can get access to up to four free rides, up to $15 each trip, to and from vaccination appointments.

Any amount over $15 will be automatically charged to the user’s debit or credit card on file with the user’s Uber account.

A voucher will be required to receive this service.

For vouchers and more information about the partnership, visit heleonbus.org.
