Hawaiʻi County will resume regular operating hours at five of its transfer stations.

Returning to normal operating hours will be the Hāwī, Keauhou, Hilo, Kea‘au, and Pāhoa transfer stations.

Hawaiʻi County’s Solid Waste Division and the Office of the Mayor are teaming up with a private vendor to receive assistance in transferring the waste.

Equipment operators and solid waste facility attendants have been temporarily hired to help the county return to its pre-pandemic operating hours.

Visit hawaiizerowaste.org for scheduled hours of operation at facilities across the Big Island.
