Welcome to Classical Pacific for November 27th, 2017. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I’m your host John Zak. Part of my Thanksgiving Day was spent right here at HPR and it was a pleasure to share music with you for your holiday enjoyment. Today, we will hear music of Dvorak, Shoenfield, Rossini, Antheil, Britten, and Scarlatti/Tommasini.

And, please don’t forget that tomorrow is Giving Tuesday. HPR is looking for 300 new members by the end of this year; folks who believe in supporting the best in news, information, and music. Is that you? Call 955-8821 during business hours, or donate online. Give the gift that  keeps on giving to your community, to your family, and to yourself!

John Kalani Zak, the son of an airline executive father and a journalist mother, was born in Washington D. C. He has lived in and traveled to many locations around the globe, and is delighted to call Hawaiʻi his home.
