Indebted Charter School Looks to Community for Help

A Kalihi charter school will remain open. HalauLokahi has signed a new contract with the State Charter School Commission in exchange for the resignation of the school’s governing board and director. The move saved the school from closing, but as HPR’s Molly Solomon reports, HalauLokahi still has a long way to go to becoming financially sustainable.
