Oahu Gears Up For More Bike Lanes

This Friday is Bike to Work Day in Hawaii. The annual event promotes bike safety and encourages more people to think about the possibility of commuting by bike. But, as HPR’s Molly Solomon reports, many in the cycling community worry the state isn’t doing enough to make Hawaii more bike-friendly.

City weighs price hikes for monthly and annual public transit passes

The Honolulu Department of Transportation Services is proposing a $10 increase for adult monthly passes and a $110 increase for annual passes. The passes would cost $90 and $990, respectively. The youth monthly pass would increase from $40 to $45, and the annual pass would jump from $440 to $495.
