Helping Hand - January 31, 2014 full interview with PACTHawaii

Helping Hand is a new weekly feature on HPR with local All Things Considered host Dave Lawrence. Each Friday afternoon, Helping Hand will put the spotlight on an organization or event in the community that offers assistance to the handicapped, disabled and other folks in need. This week we’re learning about PACTHawai`i – Parents and Children Together Hawai`i Family Service Agency.

PACTHawai`i are involved in early childhood education, child abuse and neglect prevention and treatment, domestic violence prevention and treatment, mental health support and community building and economic development. To help us learn about their efforts, from the PACT Family Peace Center, I am pleased to welcome special guests from PACTHawai`i Norma Spierings (Firector of Fund Development and Community Relations) and Haaheo Mansfield (Senior VP of Programs).
