Volcano 4th of July Parade and Festival
4th of July, Thursday event kicks off at 8:30 and will run till about 1pm.The parade will start at the Volcano Post Office at 9am (rain or shine) and will end at Cooper Center.
There will be NO PARKING at Cooper Center, Except for handicapped permitted automobiles by reservation. Contact Linda for a space at 808-936-9705, or kilaueatutu@gmail.com. You will be issued a pass that you must pick up prior to the 4th to be displayed on your dashboard, or you won’t be admitted.
Otherwise all the rest of the parking is for all our volunteers that run the event. Maps for parking will be printed in the June newsletter Volcano Community News (thecoopercenter.org).
There will be many crafters in the Carlson Covered Court, multiple food vendors along the side of the parking lot, and entertainment area, lots of children’s games, and the favorite of many, a large silent auction that will be open from 9a till 11:30. Winners should be present to pick up items, or will will hold till Tuesday at 11:00, then item will go to the next person on the list.
Just plan to come and help celebrate our Nation’s birthday and have a fun day to get out to meet and greet people. Well-behaved leashed dogs are allowed in outdoor areas only.
