The Battleship Missouri Memorial Association invites you to step back in time during Living History Day on January 27, 2024, a momentous occasion commemorating the 80th anniversary of the USS Missouri's launch and 25th anniversary of its public opening as a captivating historic attraction at Pearl Harbor.

Join us for an immersive experience filled with entertainment and awe-inspiring exhibits from various historical sites, organizations, and active military commands. Living History Day is not just a celebration, but an opportunity for the public to delve into the significant work undertaken by the Battleship Missouri Memorial and our partner organizations, dedicated to preserving history and sharing the unique narratives that define our rich heritage.
 
Access to pier activities will be FREE for all attendees and will feature military vehicles, memorabilia, and weaponry, echoing the bravery of the past. Engage in oral history, witness riveting re-enactment presentations transporting you back to the World War II era, and marvel at individuals donned in period attire, bringing history to life with every step.
 
Admission to tour the Battleship Missouri Memorial will be free for Kama‘aina, Military, and Mighty Mo Members. Regular admission fees apply for all other guests wishing to explore the Battleship Missouri.

About the Battleship Missouri Memorial

Since opening in January 1999, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has attracted more than 10-million visitors from around the world with a fascinating tour experience showcasing the USS Missouri’s unique place in history. Located a mere ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial, the Mighty Mo completes a historical visitor experience that begins with the “day of infamy” and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and ends with Japan’s formal surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.
 
The USS Missouri had an astounding career over five decades and three wars – World War II, the Korean War, and Desert Storm – after which it was decommissioned and donated to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Association operates the Battleship Missouri Memorial as a historic attraction and oversees her care and preservation with the support of visitors, memberships, grants, and donations.
