Seabury Hall's Performing Arts Presents: The 35th Annual Dance Showcase
Featuring over 60 middle and upper school students dancing their hearts out, this year's showcase will also include new works by guest choreographers Kelsey Greenway ‘12 (Dancer/Choreographer and Seabury Ha. alumna), Hallie Hunt (Artistic Director of Adaptations Dance Company), Nathaniel Hunt (New York Dancer/Choreographer), and Meghan and Tito Reyes (Artistic Directors of Evolution Dance Maui).
Vanessa Cerrito has three ballet works, two from Don Quixote and one from Giselle, and two dances for our youngest dancers. David Ward had created several new dances, including a luscious new suite called The Way of Water.
This show is wonderfully diverse in style, mood, and form. From ballet to modern, jazz to hip-hop, musical theater to thought-provoking dance-theater, this concert has something for everyone! The fabulous costume designs are by Andre Morissette and Vanessa Cerrito.
Other highlights include a performance from the new Evolution Dance Maui company, PiroKlastiks, under the direction of Meghan and Tito Reyes, and a few new student works from our very own budding choreographers.
“The love, joy, and care these students show for each other is heartwarming,” says Director David Ward. “I love working with these amazing young performers, watching them continue to grow and excel in their passion for the performing arts”.
