Quilt Show: Recover: Looking Forward Honoring the Past

Volcano Art Center (VAC) is proud to announce the 4th biennial quilt exhibition Recover: Looking Forward, Honoring the Past at the Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village. The exhibit is on display Wednesday – Sunday, from July 22nd -August 14th, 2022 from 10am -4pm in Dietrich Varez Hall in the Hale Hoʻomana building at 19-4074 Old Volcano Rd.
The bi-annual quilt show presents 37 quilts by 19 different quilters of Hawaiʻi Island. The exhibition highlights traditional, contemporary and innovative quilts from both amateur and professional quilters. An opening reception for the participating quilters will take place on Friday, July 22nd from 2-4pm, the public is welcome to attend. While the exhibit is free of charge, donations are greatly accepted.
The Volcano Art Center also invites anyone interested in fabric and textiles to the exciting pop-up store with fabric and fiber artists Patti Pease-Johnson, Ann Kalber, Catherine Wynne and Trudy Koszarek on Saturday, July 23rd from 10am -3pm at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani campus in Volcano Village. The artists will provide insight and inspiration to the wonderful world of fiber arts.
