Make Your Own Nut Butter

Make Your Own Nut Butter

Are you a nut butter fan? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll transform raw nuts into a delicious, customizable spread you can take home.

Participants will explore salts, sweeteners, and creative add-ins while learning how each ingredient affects flavor, texture, and shelf stability. Then, roll up your sleeves to grind, blend, and jar your own fresh nut butter.

The workshop will feature Berklee Welsh, founder of Hawaiʻi-based brand Shaka Butter, who will share insights on building a value-added food business.

Hosted at the Wahiawā Value-Added Product Development Center’s state-of-the-art commercial kitchen facilities. Free on-site parking in the WVAPDC’s gated lot.

Lock in early bird savings! $40 through April 14, $50 after.

Allergy Notice: Please let us know about any allergies when you submit your reservation, or email us at vapdc@hawaii.edu.
