Jazz Maui presents Sunset Jazz featuring the Mark Johnstone Quartet from 5-7pm on Sunday, May 28, at the Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate Factory in Lahaina. Held weekly, Sunset Jazz features an all-star line-up of local and visiting professional jazz musicians. Different artists perform each week and the music is always top-notch. Concert goers can enjoy great jazz and sunset views along with their purchases of award-winning chocolate paired with their choice of beverage. Sunset Jazz attendees must be 21 or older and have a valid photo ID. Seating is limited and often sold out so advance ticket purchase is required.

The Mark Johnstone Quartet consists of keyboardist Mark Johnstone, drummer Paul Marchetti, bassist Doug White, and guitarist Steve Boynton. Mark Johnstone is best known for his keyboard work with the Grammy-nominated Mick Fleetwood Blues Band and the Island Rumors Band. A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Mark has also performed with popular Hawaiian entertainers such as Henry Kapono, Willie K, John Cruz and others. Drummer Paul Marchetti has appeared on TV shows such as The Tonight Show and has performed and recorded with artists such as Eric Marienthal, Walter Becker, Michael McDonald and many more. Doug White has played his bass with many musicians in a wide range of genres from jazz to Hawaiian to rock 'n roll and blues. Guitarist Steve Boynton has been a featured soloist performing classical guitar concertos with orchestras and has played on countless recording sessions.

During the Sunset Jazz concerts the chocolate factory features a carefully curated wine, spirits and beer list along with three flights of chocolate and beverage pairings for purchase. Chocolate sommeliers are available to assist with pairings.

Proceeds from concert ticket sales benefit Jazz Maui's music education programs.
