Jazz Maui Presents Sunset Jazz Featuring Phil & Angela Benoit with special guest Tom Ricciuti
Jazz Maui presents Sunset Jazz featuring Phil and Angela Benoit with special guest, guitarist Tom Ricciuti, on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Maui Ku’ia Estate Chocolate Factory in Lahaina. This week the focus is on favorite timeless jazz classics featuring the smooth vocals of Angela Benoit with the acoustic jazz guitar mastery of Phil Benoit and Tom Ricciuti. Seating is limited and often sold out so advance ticket purchase is required at www.JazzMaui.org or https://mauichocolate.com/pages/sunset-jazz.
Angela Benoit was born and raised in the sleepy town of Paia on the island of Maui. She has been singing virtually all of her life and has been performing professionally for 20+ years. Angela possesses a lovely easy-to-listen-to voice that defies comparison. Phil Benoit is from Southern California and moved to Hawaii in the late 70s. A self-taught guitarist, he has also been performing professionally for more than two decades. Phil provides a smooth and swinging guitar. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, guitarist Tom Ricciuti has been performing professionally since the age of 12. After years of playing a wide range of styles up and down the East Coast, Tom and his wife Yvonne traded Manhattan’s skyline for Maui’s sunshine in 2012. His true passion lies in jazz, drawing deep inspiration from legends like Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino.
Every Sunday Jazz Maui’s Sunset Jazz concert series showcases local and visiting professional jazz musicians. Each week talented guest artists present a variety of different jazz forms demonstrating the evolution of jazz from its beginnings in New Orleans in the 1920s. Sold out shows have featured smooth, latin, bossa nova, dixieland, gypsy, swing, traditional, and other jazz subgenres.
During Sunset Jazz, concert goers can enjoy a variety of food and beverage for additional purchase including selections from an extensive wine, spirits and beer list to pair with award-winning chocolate, cheese plates and other light fare from a café menu.
Maui Ku’ia Estate Chocolate, through its Chocolate Laulima program, supports local nonprofit organizations such as Arts Education for Children Group/Jazz Maui. Proceeds from concert ticket sales benefit Jazz Maui’s music education programs.
