Hawaiian History with Boyd Bond- Pele Stories

Hawaiian History with Boyd Bond- Pele Stories

Come listen to local historian Boyd Bond tell stories about Pele!

"Pele is known as the volcano goddess, and her name is also the Hawaiian word for lava, with the molten rock being only one of many forms this tempestuous goddess may take! While Madame Pele lives in
Halema‘uma‘u and is presently remodeling her home, she has traveled through all the Hawaiian islands battling with siblings and lovers, in the many legends about this famous goddess. Yet in her story tells us she first arrived as a human, bringing many of her magical family with her, whom, like herself, we can still find living in the islands today. Come join us on April 14th to hear the tales of our fiery neighbor to the south!"
