Hawaii Department of Agriculture’s Pesticide Disposal Program
Hawaii Department of Agriculture’s Pesticide Disposal Program
The Pesticide Disposal Program (PDP) will provide an available, affordable, and environmentally accessible mechanism by which any agricultural entity, licensed pest control operator, landscape professional, pesticide dealer, and other commercial users of pesticides in the State can, for free, dispose of up to 250 lbs of canceled, suspended, unwanted, and unlabeled pesticides.
The goal of the PDP is to promote a cleaner and safer Hawaii environment by reducing the amount of pesticides which could potentially impact human health or the environment. The initial disposal event will be held on the island of Oahu on Saturday, September 30, from 8:00am to 4:00 pm. Future events will be held on Kauai, Maui, Molokai, and the Big island once a date and location has been determined.
Oahu Pesticide Disposal Registration Deadline is Friday, September 8, 2023 by 4:30pm. See the HDOA PDP webpage for more information, https://hdoa.hawaii.gov/pi/main/pesticide-disposal-program/
