Join our vibrant community of volunteer docents and become a storyteller of one of Hawaii’s most transformative periods. As a Hawaiian Mission Houses docent, you’ll guide visitors and students through the fascinating intersection of cultures that shaped modern Hawaiʻi, sharing compelling stories within our National Historic Landmark buildings.
Your Training Journey: Four comprehensive Saturday sessions (9am-3pm) with our Director of Education, covering everything from storytelling techniques to historical context, plus hands-on practice with our experienced docent mentors.
Whether you’re a retired educator, history enthusiast, or simply someone who loves meeting people from around the world, this opportunity offers the perfect blend of learning, teaching, and community service.
