Caregiver Support Group: Music and Memory
Jen McGeehan, Executive Director, Remember Thru Music, a Hawaii nonprofit, will be our guest speaker on Tuesday, October 19, 4:00 pm. Music has the capacity to bring back memories to those who experiencing memory loss. When listening to music, individuals are often able to remember who they are, who their family members are, and what they did for work. Music can be a lifeline between those with Alzheimer's and dementia and their caregivers. Residents on all islands may register for the Caregiver Support Group through the Foundation’s website, www.thecaregiverfoundation.org, or call 808.625.3782 for more information. This event is free and open to the public. After registration, a Zoom link will be sent to registrants.
