The Hawaii Handweavers’ Hui invites artists to participate in its biennial juried exhibition focused on the theme “Surrounded by Water.” The exhibit will be held at the Downtown Art Center, Honolulu, Oahu, Aug. 2 to19, 2023 and the Kahilu Theatre, Waimea, Hawaii Island, Aug. 24 to Oct. 29.

The Glass Fusion Collective is collaborating with HHH in presenting this exhibition, open to all artists, locally and internationally. Stacie Robinson, Research Ecologist with NOAA’s Hawaiian Monk Seal Research Program and a ceramicist, is the juror for this show.

Eligible fiber and glass pieces may be functional, sculptural, traditional or contemporary. Fiber construction techniques should use interlacing in some fashion. For more information and the prospectus go to www.hawaiihanweavers.org.
