Shop with a Cop, Saturday, December 3
Sixteen (16) exemplary local elementary school students in the East Oahu area will be escorted by HPD’s finest to meet and take photos with Santa Claus and shop for holiday presents for friends and family members. Each student and their family as well as the HPD officers are able to establish a sense of community by spending time shopping together during the holiday season. Kahala Mall merchants donate gift cards to this annual event. Each student also picks out one (1) item from the Salvation Army Angel Tree at Kahala Mall to “pay it forward,” selecting to purchase a gift for either a child or senior in need. Each student is selected by their principal based on admirable behavior/improvement, academic achievement, combined sometimes with need.
