Spring Wind Quintet

Clarinetist Jim Moffitt joins Gene Schiller on Morning Café to share about the Spring Wind Quintet's upcoming concert series with Chamber Music Hawai‘i.

The quintet is back on stage after a two-year hiatus and celebrates their return to live chamber music on February 13, 15, and 21. The Spring Music Quintet will perform the music of Carl Nielsen, William Grant Still, and Chamber Music Hawai‘i co-founder Marsha Schweitzer.

Gene Schiller joined HPR in September, 1993 as a board operator. His first break came when he was asked to fill in for Music Director Alan Bunin. Six months later, he became the new host of Evening Concert, a program that runs on HPR-2 from 6 to 8 p.m. on weeknights.
