Happiness Trumps Economics in Asia

Each year, Gallup produces a survey that ranks states in terms of the happiness of their residents. Hawai‘i dropped from the top spot in the most recent one, in part because of the high cost of living. When it comes to countries, progress is often measured by growth in the gross domestic product. But in parts of Asia, that’s beginning to change. HPR’s Bill Dorman has more in today’s Asia Minute.
