Every year, the Prince Lot Hula Festival offers a prime opportunity to visit Moanalua Gardens, arguably the most beautiful hula venue in Hawai‘i. This non-competitive festival honors Prince Lot Kapu?iwa who revived hula in Moanalua when it was still publicly banned. HPR’sNoeTanigawa offers a look at the history of this celebrated area.

The 38th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival runs both Saturday and Sunday at Moanalua Gardens. This year's theme, He Wahi Pana, remembers Moanalua as a "storied place", a place of history, legend, and spiritual power.
The Festival is popular, and this is the first time it is a two-day affair. Parking instructions are included below. Please note, that Moanalua Elementary and Middle School parking is only available on Saturday, July 18th.
