Movie Review: 'I Capture the Castle'

About 60 years ago, English children's author Dodie Smith penned I Capture the Castle. Now the story of a family living a fractured fairy tale of sorts in a rented rundown castle has made it to the big screen. NPR's Bob Mondello offers a review of the film.

Bob Mondello, who jokes that he was a jinx at the beginning of his critical career — hired to write for every small paper that ever folded in Washington, just as it was about to collapse — saw that jinx broken in 1984 when he came to NPR.
