International marine conservation group Mission Blue has named Kahalu‘u Bay on the Kona Coast a "Hope Spot." The bay is the 141st Hope Spot worldwide and the second of its kind in Hawai‘i. Maui’s Olowalu Reef was the first.
The community is invited to learn about the Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail, Hawaii history and culture, and how to protect and preserve our trails, oceans and reefs. Participate in a beach cleanup and win prizes!
