All tropical storm warnings and watches been canceled for the state.

At 11 AM Saturday, Lane continues to weaken - with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph with higher gusts. Lane was centered about 145 miles southwest of Honolulu, and 160 miles south of Kaua?i. The storm is now moving west at 7 mph. Forecasters anticipate the storm to turn toward the west and will pass south of Kaua?i and Ni?ihau later in the day and evening. Forecasters say although Lane has weakened, heavy rains are still a possibility throughout the state. Tropical-storm-force winds can extend up to 100 miles out from the center of the storm.

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center says there are no longer any coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Weather officials believe Lane will continue to weaken in the next 12 hours - as wind shear continues to weaken the storm.

A flash flood watch is in effect for the entire state in anticipation of the lingering effects of Lane. A high surf warning is also in effect for south and east facing shores on O?ahu and Kaua?i, and a high surf advisory is in effect for south-facing shores for the rest of the state.

The U.S. Coast Guard is reminding the public to stay off the water when hurricane or tropical storm force winds are present, and to stay clear of beaches. Boat owners are also advised to secure their belongings.
