The death toll continues to climb in Ukraine as Russian troops push in to seize key cities throughout the country. The images of war make us pause to consider those in need not just abroad, but here at home. The Conversation sat down recently with Hawaiʻi Red Cross Chief Executive Officer Diane Peters-Nguyen to talk about the beginnings of the International Red Cross and the American Red Cross.

This interview aired on The Conversation on March 22, 2022. The Conversation airs weekdays at 11 a.m. on HPR-1.
