For National Drive Electric Week, The Conversation talked to Tam Hunt, director of the Hawaii Electric Vehicle Association, about what it's like to own an electric car. There’s also a webinar this weekend about how motorists are embracing the electric vehicle movement.

Hunt said there are some 16,000 electric vehicles in Hawaiʻi — the second-highest per capita ownership in the country behind California.

This interview aired on The Conversation on Sept. 28, 2021.
