State Senator Inouye Wants Honolulu Rail to End at Ala Moana

State Senator Lorraine Inouye, the vice-chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, has long been involved in the rail project—dating back to Governor Linda Lingle’s administration.

She was involved in the plan to help fund the project through a general excise tax increase and also believes it was a mistake to cancel the private-public partnership deal. She joined The Conversation to explain her position to finish the route to Ala Moana.
