Many folks are still trying to process the historic decision handed down by the Hawaii Supreme Court that allows theThirty Meter Telescope to proceed. Some opponents vow they not giving up yet though their legal options have narrowed. The project has long been on hold over legal challenges. We reached TMT Executive Director Ed Stone following the decision. He says it's too soon to say when he will have a clear timeline on when equipment will move back on the mountain.

Planning Commission Approves Short Term Rental Bill
Our Vacation Rental dilemma is a hot-button issue across the state. The fight over whether to allow more units in neighborhoods here on Oahu took another turn yesterday.
Members of theHonolulu Planning Commission heard a revised proposal from the Mayor to regulate short-term rentals on Oahu. The commission shot down a similar proposal last month. Hawaii Public Radio’s Ryan Finnerty has the latest on what’s changed.

Tango Extravaganza
It takes two to Tango, and you get both music and dance at the Iggy Jang Tango Extravaganza. It’s a concert with the Honolulu Music Chamber Series and a tango workshop by the Hawaii Music Teachers Association. The upcoming concerts will feature champion Argentine Tango dancers Guillermo Merlo and Fernanda Ghi. Violinist, Iggy Jang, sat down with us to break down the Tango. He explains how he first came to love it.
