Honolulu Mayor Takes on Dockless Scooter Company

Bike and scooter rental company Lime has earned the ire of Cities and Mayors around the country. Honolulu is now among that group. The company’s dockless electric scooters made their abrupt debut last week and have earned displays of support and opposition among residents.

Farmers Face Uncertainty as Eruption Continues

Kilauea Volcano shows no sign of stopping its spew of ash and gas. Farmers in the drift of the sulfur dioxide are scrambling to deal with the detrimental effects on their crops. Kelvin Selwake is from the University of Hawaii’s College of Tropical Agriculture who’s been fielding the calls for help from coffee and orchid farmers.
