Bill to Create Agricultural Conservation Lots: Don Guzman
You’ve heard that old expression about the sum of the parts being greater than the whole. Blues Musician: Chris Thomas King
Chris Thomas King was born into the blues, and although his music has roots in an earlier era, he’s finding ways to keep it fresh in a new century. Story Book Theater - 35 years: Mark Parrish
For 35 years now, the Storybook Theatre of Hawaii, in Hanapepe, Kauai, has taken on the challenge of creating shows for young children that are entertaining, informative, and tailored specifically to a local audience. For Mark Parrish, that means adopting an alter ego, Captain Mark, who visits elementary school classrooms around the state with his inflatable whales. It’s all part of the ongoing challenge that children’s theaters face: finding out what makes kids sit up, take notice, and maybe even learn something.
