We’ve got a few sunset /evening timed planets to look for, plus we get a preview of some of the big space-related stories we can expect to learn more about this year as HPR All Things Considered Local Host Dave Lawrence speaks with Christopher Phillips from the Mauna Kea Astronomy Outreach Committee for this week’s Stargazer report.

The NASA Dawn spacecraft heading to the dwarf planet Ceres expected to arrive in orbit there in March 2015: (learn more at dawn.jpl.nasa.gov).

The NASA New Horizons spacecraft voyaging to the dwarf planet Pluto, expected to arrive nearby in July 2015. (Check out NASA's New Horizon's page). According to NASA, New Horizons' closest pass to Pluto is 7:49 a.m. eastern on July 14, 2015.
