The Conversation: Workplace Safety

Max Pixel

Byran Uyesugi is behind bars in a prison in arizona for taking the lives of 7 men on November 2 1999. One this day we remember Jason Balatico, Ford Kanehira, Ronald Kataoka, Ronald Kawamae, Melvin Lee,  Peter Mark John Sakamoto.

We talk work place safety as mass shootings sadly become more commonplace in everyday life. In current day, schools are the latest worry as active shooter situations play out across the globe, but as the Xerox anniversary approaches here in our community we focus on workplace safety.

We are joined in studio by

  • Sergeant Jerome Pacarro from the Honolulu Police Department.  He is a 15-year veteran currently assigned to District 7, which stretches from Manoa to Hawaii Kai.

  • John Fielding, Director of risk management for ALTRES, Hawaii’s largest  human resource company. Fielding has 32 years of experience in safety and risk management. The company conducts workplace inspections, and offers prevention training.
