Last month, 200 National Guard troops were deployed to Washington, D.C. for President Biden's inauguration ceremony. Several Hawaii National Guard soldiers were among the group. Seven of them later tested positive for COVID-19. They have since recovered and were released from quarantine this past weekend. We talked to Colonel Stanley Garcia about why they weren't vaccinated prior to deployment and how our local National Guard will involved in vaccinations.

You may not know that opera in Hawaii dates back to the 1850s when Queen Emma sang in the chorus of a Verdi production and King Kamehameha IV served as stage manager.
