She has freelanced for Atlas (Gastro) Obscura, PRX The World, SAVEUR, and The Korea Times, among other outlets, and wrote about Philippine affairs for Honolulu Civil Beat during a special engagement with the Li Center for Global Journalism.
Ethnically Korean but born and raised in Massachusetts, she has been honored to be a visitor in the lives of people around the world in the course of her work.
