The Makapuʻu Lighthouse trail and parking area will be closed for three mornings due to maintenance work starting Tuesday, Feb. 1.
The 2-mile paved trail and parking lot will close from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Barricades and temporary signs will be placed at the park entrance.
The Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline will remain open to walk-in visitors from the Wawamalu/Sandy Beach Park area, the Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources said.
