American Savings Bank relaunches restaurant card program to help local food industry

American Savings Bank

American Savings Bank will be relaunching the Hawaiʻi Restaurant Card Business Holiday Card program.

Officials are encouraging businesses and organizations to purchase the cards and distribute them to their employees.

Last year, the program brought in $75 million in revenue to the local food supply chain, including restaurants, farms, fishermen, producers, and distributors.

This year, the restaurant card program plans to distribute 50,000 cards to residents across the state. This will equate to $2.5 million for the food industry.

Businesses can purchase the cards online.

The cards can be used at any restaurant that accepts Debit MasterCard.

All restaurant cards are valid until the end of June.
