Keiki and adults on Maui can learn about ocean life through a new interactive exhibit in Whalers Village in Lahaina.

The Hawaiʻi Wildlife Discovery Center has over 30 exhibits featuring Hawaiʻi’s ocean life, cultural values, and conservation work.

The Center opened on October 20 and was made in collaboration with the Hawaiʻi Wildlife Fund, and the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.

Several local artists used recycled marine debris to create murals on the exterior and interior walls.

Children can also make art using debris from beach clean-ups, and learn about pollution and sustainability.
