This week on Helping Hand, we’re welcoming back a very special program you may have heard around this time last year, GrandCares Hawaii. HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence speaks with Heather Greenwood-Junkermeier, Faculty Member at UH Manoa who oversees the program, which is also found online here. According to their website, GRANDCares Hawaii is a project of UH M?noa and Colorado State University to support vulnerable grandparents who are raising grandchildren by providing access to community resources and information. They have programs underway now in Hawaii and are expanding.
