Helping Hand - December 27, 2019 complete interview with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii

This week on Helping Hand, we’re learning about the Ronald McDonald House Charities Hawaii. Honolulu’s Ronald McDonald Houses are open 24 hours a day year-round as a temporary “home” for families that must come to the Honolulu area seeking specialized medical treatments for their children’s catastrophic illnesses. Guest families also come from throughout the South Pacific and 75% of the people locally who are assisted by this service come from islands other than Oahu.

Helping Hand airs on HPR1 stations statewide Friday afternoons, and puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event that offers assistance to people with disabilities and people and animals that among the most vulnerable. It's then archived online here.
