This week on Helping Hand we’re learning about the 2019 Footsteps to Transition Fair Saturday, November 2nd, at Kapolei Middle School cafeteria from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Hosted by the Department of Education, it’s for middle and high school students with special needs and their family, loved ones and caregivers to assist in critical details of making a life transition and explore a range of opportunities for adult life. HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence speaks with Amanda Kaahanui, Program Specialist at SPIN, the Special Parent Information Network.
Helping Hand is a weekly feature on HPR as part of All Things Considered and then is archived here. Fridays, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event that offers assistance to people with disabilities and people and animals that are among the most vulnerable.
