This week on Helping Hand, it’s The Caregiver Foundation and their 10th annual fundraiser and silent auction Saturday April 27, at the Manoa Grand Ballroom, 2454 South Beretania Street in Honolulu at the Japanese Cultural Center 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Joining HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence is Anne Chipchase, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Caregiver Foundation. The annual event and auction gathers supporters, clients and community partners with live music, entertainment, prize drawings, food and all to raise funds for their mission of providing coordinated care for people with disabilities and age-related issues.
Helping Hand is a weekly feature airing statewide on HPR1 stations Fridays as part of HPR1’s afternoon drive All Things Considered and then archived online here. Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event that offers assistance to people with disabilities and people and animals among the most vulnerable.
